  Once you have decided which log cabin to have? you will then have to decide wether you would like to erect it yourself or have our professional team of installers erect it for you. Below is some information to help you decide;

DIY installation

DIY installation of our cabins on a level solid base is made quick and easy,  because of the unquie design, and the detailed instructions.

Assembly of your cabin will be straightforward and a satisfying project for any DIY enthusiast.

Even large buildings can be installed with only basic tools, such as a hammer, a screwdriver, a power drill, a spirit level, an adjustable spanner, a knife, a stepladder and safety goggles.

Particular care is required when handling glass and good quality gloves should be worn at all times. You should not attempt to lift heavy sections without a helping pair of hands.

 Remember that extra time spent preparing a good base is normally repaid with time saved later during the installation.

You will need nails and scews to fix floor boards, roof boards and roof covering.

Once installed you will need to treat the log cabin. Intially we advise treating the wood with a clear wood preservative against rot and decay.  while you decide whether you would like to keepthe  natural look or stain a different color this can also be used before painting, staining or varnishing. a product that we would reccomend is Cuprinol Wood Preserver Clear.

Or if you would like to change the colour the Cuprinol Total Garden Wood Treatment is the ultimate treatment for all kinds of garden timber. Unlike some other garden wood treatments Cuprinol Total contains active ingredients that penetrate into the timber to prevent rot and decay. Other ingredients in the Total advanced triple action formulation work together to ensure the wood is totally protected against the weather and stays looking its best for up to 5 years.

Cuprinol Total Garden Wood Treatment has a triple action formulation that works in three ways. Active ingredients penetrate into the timber to protect the wood against rot, decay and fungal growth. Water repellent waxes and resins help waterproof the wood against rain penetration. The rich woodshade colours contain long lasting pigments and UV filters which ensure they can last up to five years.
